Time flies when you don't get to sleep

Wow. It has been a month. The kids have had runny noses for a week. Mow has added a syllable to her pronunciation of J's name. It sort of sounds like "dungeon" sometimes. Tonight, Mom had a meeting so Dad was in charge of entertaining the kids and getting them to bed. We tried puzzles for a while, but J wanted to play with Mow's rather than his own. We moved on to books in the bedroom. J scooted over to the heater/air conditioning vent with two books and managed to drop one in through the bars before I noticed. The house is Mow-proof, but J will be an entirely different type of toddler and all defenses need serious reinforcement. And, Pseudonym is certain that Mow will willingly follow his lead.
Mow's vocabulary is growing and she parrots the last few words of conversations that she hears. She's getting good at saying prayers at night, though she often repeats herself. Tonight she said (roughly) "thank you for grandma and pizza" around 10 time in a row at one point. She had a really short one sometime last week too. "Father in Heaven. Thank you for blessings. Jesus Christ, Amen."

I think kid prayers are the best ever. They are so innocent. It's okay if she repeats herself. Maybe she really, really loves pizza and grandma.

Cute! Maddie's not so good at her prayers yet. We still have to have her repeat after us and she giggles though whole time.
