A rebuttal to my parents' bathroom

"Yet, no matter how difficult a particular situation is, parents cannot afford to give up hope that their loving, prayerful concern and actions for their child’s welfare will someday, somehow, bear fruit. Nor can they afford to relinquish all responsibility for providing measured, ongoing moral support and direction for their child, believing instead that parental involvement ends once a child becomes a legal adult or leaves home. President Ezra Taft Benson’s words surely apply to mothers of young adult children as well as to fathers: 'Fathers, yours is an eternal calling from which you are never released. … Its importance transcends time. It is a calling for both time and eternity'(Ensign, Nov. 1988, p. 48)."

Episodes from the life of a mother of toddlers

*I would have said "the busy life" but that would have been redundant.  Here are some of Amanda's stories from the last 24 hours.

Saturday Night Dilemma

BB needs a bath.
But I can't give him a bath until I empty the dirty clothes out of the bathtub.
I can't empty the bathtub until I empty the wet laundry out of the laundry baskets and put it in the drier.
But I can't put anything in the drier until I take the dry clothes out of the drier.
While it would be best to put the dry clothes in a basket, I could put them on the couch...
But I can't take the clean clothes out of the drier until I put BB down.
But I can't put BB down until I give him a bath because he is coated in dinner.

Oops

I had MOW set the table for lunch. I told her to use the clean dishes out of the dishwasher....
After settling the kids at the table, I went to the empty the dishwasher and realized that I hadn't actually started the dishwasher before church. Oops. Since they were already 5 minutes into their lunch, the kids ate lunch off of dirty dishes today. But I didn't tell them that.

Fishing Practice

Just Like Uncle RJ

After tonight's bath, I showed J how Uncle RJ liked his hair when he was a kid. J loved it and was sad his hair didn't stay spiky after it dried.
